Fall Forum 2009 takes a close look at the current economic situation; do not miss the stimulating discussion on Nov. 3.

Senior Kelley Greeson is the Director of Fall Forum, previously Winter Forum. The event was moved to the fall semester to allow for the celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the spring.

This year’s theme “The Economy & You” features professor of business at the University of California-Irvine, Peter Navarro.

Navarro is a gifted public speaker and has appeared on CNN, CNBC, NPR and other major network shows. He is the author of best selling investment book “If it’s raining in Brazil, Buy Starbuck.” His latest book is “The Well Timed Strategy: Managing the Business Cycle for Competitive Advantage.”

Navarro will give the Key Note add at 10 a.m. in the Chapel and the event will be for lyceum credit. Following the address there will be a short break for lunch from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

The first discussion session will be held at 1:15 p.m. and the second will follow at 2:45 p.m. The Forum offers an array of discussion sessions for student and faculty to participate in. Each focuses on a different area of the economies affects.
