Mass Communications Professor Receives Charter Day Award
On Charter Day, which was held March 26 this year, Dr. Teresa Keller, professor of Mass Communcations, received the James Davis Faculty Award presented by the Alumni Association. She received the award for her ongoing service to the college and was chosen by her former students and a review committee. Keller will have been here for 23 years this May. “I’m honored that alums felt like I deserved this award,” she said. Keller was informed of receiving the award about a month in advance so that she could invite family. Receiving the award was “emotional, the day felt spectacular, nice to have [the award] and feel special.” Keller plans to place her award on a shelf in her office where she can display it proudly. Keller commented, “E&H has provided me with opportunities to do things that I have appreciated. Traveling, WEHC and working with students have all been great pleasures that E&H allows me to do.”
